Reviews

  • It's all here!

If you're a Lucero fan, or just getting exposed, this is the album to have. All their best songs are here, and the energy of the live performance really comes through. The Album Review here is spot on -- Ben Nichols shines, and the band is tight and complimentary. They really seem to enjoy playing together, and it comes through on this album. A soulful, classic live album from beginning to end.
  • Best live album ever.

Lucero has been around for quite a while. Their music is one-of-a-kind, and this double-disc album is, in my opinion, not only their best work, but the best live album ever produced. This is raw, straight-up Lucero. I saw them live once in Baltimore. If you ever get the chance to see them perform, do it. You will not regret the decision. At the very least, just listen to this album.

I understand adding horns trying to take the band in a new direction but adding them to the old stuff has changed everything and not for the better. I agree that Cat's Cradle is the live album to buy if you're a fan of the classics. As a diehard Lucero fan, I'm having a lot of trouble getting behind this incarnation of the band.

Love the live recording. It captures the feel of their wonderful live show. The addition of the horns to the older songs, gives a fresh new twist. You won't be disappointed.

  • Why the horn??

I can't get past all the horn. Why ruin the great classics by adding piercing horns?
  • Awesome!

This band is awesome. This live album is rad. Buy it. But it now.

I have been waiting for many of these songs on iTunes, and this is even better Lucero kicks as* live.

Not released for a month, but everything the boys from Memphis release is fabulous! They've been at it for more than a decade and still to this day are one of the best live shows you could ever see. Often times opening for "bigger" bands, if you ever get the chance to see them headline a smaller, more intimate venue, dont hesitate! They pack all theaters with diehard fans, who love to sing along with their tunes...but be prepared to drink!! There is just something about their music that makes you want to do a shot and a beer...even better when the band will do one with you!
